How it works

How Google Play review monitoring works in Rumoro

Set it up in the dashboard, over the API or the CLI, or by asking your agent. The past month comes in right away, then new reviews each day.

Add the Play Store link and a language

Put any app's Google Play link on a keyword, choose its countries and the review language. The last 30 days' 100 newest reviews in each country come in free.

  4. Thu

Rumoro reads them every day

Each app, country and language is read daily. A review's stars decide its sentiment, and its text is tagged as praise, a bug report, a pricing complaint or a question.

  • ★ en · Bank sync has been broken for a week…38
  • ★★ es · No puedo exportar a CSV…7
  • ★★★★★ en · Best budgeting app I’ve tried…42

Your team gets what it needs

Rules filter by stars, intent, helpful votes or language and send each review to Slack, Telegram, email, a webhook or your agent, or into a digest.

For apps with users abroad

Read Google Play reviews in the languages they're written in

Google Play gives out reviews one language at a time, so an app followed in English never sees its Spanish complaints. Add each language you care about and the reviews arrive side by side, untranslated, with stars that make them comparable.

  • Problems in markets your team doesn’t speak, translated by your agent when needed
  • Helpful votes showing which complaints many users share
  • Your replies next to the reviews, so nothing is answered twice or not at all

Console, API or monitor

The Play Console, the Google Play Developer API, or monitoring

What you get

What Rumoro keeps from each Google Play review

The details that tell you how much a review matters and whether it has been handled, and the limits Google Play sets.

  • The review

The stars, the text in the language it was written, when it was posted, the app version and the country.

  • Votes and reply

How many people found the review helpful, and the developer's reply with its date.

  • The reviewer

The name and avatar Google Play shows. There are no reviewer profiles on Google Play, so each review stands on its own.

  • Limits

One review language per keyword and app, 52 supported countries, and up to 1,000 of the newest reviews per country each day.

Pair it with App Store review monitoring for the iPhone version, and add Trustpilot reviews or Google reviews for the company itself.

Beyond alerts

Google Play review tracking beyond the alert

Follow each market in its own language, rank complaints by how many agree and watch the apps you compete with.

Reviews in each market's language

Follow the same app in English, Spanish and German side by side, and let your agent translate only the ones you need.

Helpful votes as a signal

Filter or alert on the number of people who found a review helpful, so the complaints that speak for many come first.

Who has been answered

The developer's reply sits next to each review with its date, so open complaints are easy to find.

Complaints by app version

Each review records the app version, so you can see which update a run of bug reports followed.

Star-based alerts

Route 1 and 2 star reviews to your Android team as they arrive and send the rest to a weekly summary.

The Reviews report

Average rating over time, the share of each star, open unhappy reviews and what they complain about, against the previous period.

Rival apps alongside yours

Follow a competitor's Play Store page under its own keyword and compare ratings and complaints.

A digest per market

One round-up per review language in Slack, Telegram or email, for the team that serves that market.

MCP, API, SDKs and CLI

Google Play reviews for your agent, in any language

Query reviews by stars and intent from your code, or let Claude, Cursor or Codex read them over MCP, translate the ones that matter and draft replies in the reviewer's language.

1 and 2 star complaints; alert rules can also require helpful votes.

Coverage, alerts and cost

Google Play review monitoring questions

How do I get notified about new Google Play reviews?

Put the app's Google Play link on a keyword, choose its countries and language, and add an alert rule. Rumoro reads the new reviews every day and the rule passes on the ones you want to Slack, Telegram, email or a webhook.

Can I track a competitor's app on Google Play?

Yes. Public reviews of any app can be followed. Put the competitor on its own keyword and compare its ratings and complaints with yours in the Reviews report.

Which countries and languages can I choose?

Up to 20 of the 52 countries Rumoro supports, such as the US, the UK, Germany, Brazil and India, and one of Google Play's review languages per keyword. An unsupported country is refused with its code named.

Why do I only see reviews in one language?

Google Play hands out reviews one language at a time, so an app read in English never shows its Spanish reviews. Add the app to a second keyword with another language to follow that market too.

Is there a Google Play reviews API?

Google's Play Developer API lists reviews of your own apps, but only those written or edited in the last week, for production versions, with the Reply to reviews permission. Older reviews come as a CSV download from the Play Console. Rumoro reads any app's public reviews daily and keeps them.

Does Rumoro show helpful votes?

Yes. Each review carries the number of people who found it helpful, and alert rules can require a minimum, so widely shared complaints stand out.

Does it show the developer's reply?

Yes. The reply and the date it was written appear with each review, so you can see which complaints are still open.

Do I need Play Console access?

No. Rumoro reads public reviews, so there's no developer account to share and no API permission to grant.

Do reviews include the app version?

Yes, when Google Play shows it. That makes it easy to link a run of bug reports to the update that caused them.

How quickly do new Google Play reviews show up?

Within a day. Each app, country and language is read once a day, up to 1,000 of its newest reviews per country.

Does Rumoro cover the App Store too?

Yes. The App Store works the same way, with countries instead of languages. Both stores' reviews of one app can share a keyword and a report.

Can my AI agent read and translate Google Play reviews?

Yes. Over Rumoro's MCP server, Claude, Cursor or Codex gets every review in its original language with stars, version and helpful votes, and can translate, group and draft replies for you to post.

What does Google Play review monitoring cost?

The first 100 reviews of the last month in each country are free. Then each new review is $0.008 and the keyword $5 a month, charged by the day. There's no subscription.
